Bobby Casey is one of the greatest. 14 of the 18 tracks here were home recordings made in 1959 when Bobby was at his youthful best. Patsy Touhy from Loughrea, Co.Galway was one of the most famous pipers at the turn of the century. His original commercial ediphone recordings have been restored and this cassette presents them as a companion set to Jackie Small's and Pat Mitchell's book. NPU 001. THE BUNCH OF KEYS (CBE 001) consists of the only recordings ever made by Johnny Doran, the great travelling piper, recorded a week before the accident which eventually led to his death. Doran was the major influence on the piping of Paddy Keenan and Davey Spillane, and these recordings have never before been commercially available. THE GRAVEL WALKS (CBE 002) is a tape of Mickey Doherty, the great Donegal fiddler and brother of the better known John.
